∵2 is root of 2x2-kx+1=0

∴2(2)2-k(2)+1=0

⇒8-2k+1=0=9=2k

⇒$k=\frac{9}{2}$

⇒k(-3)2+2(-3)-3=0

⇒9k-6-3=0

⇒x2-3x-4=0

⇒x2-4x+x-4=0

If x-4=0, then x=4
